Slain's musical journey began early in 2006 at St. Alysious. Judah Snadhy (vocals), Jared Sandhy (drums), Bryden Lewis (bass), and Jerod Nesan (keyboards) formed a group with one deam. Being the best band in Bangalore; and today they have achieved a status where Bangaloreans feel they are the best.

Slain band credit their success to their attitude. "We do not dig covers and that is why we have come a long way in being accepted as Bangalore's best band." Their experiments have proven to be a blessing in disguise. Slain now have virtually captured every music cmpetition in Bangalore.

Name a college, and you will find Slain as winners:
They were officially crowned winners in inter-collegiate festivals like, NJC, St. Joseph;s, Sparks, MCC, JNC, Mallaya Aditi, etc. They are also the winners of the Bangalore Rocks October fest 2007, and Underground 2007.

Slain's count on White Cross, Stryper, Impelleteri, Dream Theatre, Rush, Iron Maiden as some of their influences. Bangalore Mirror spoke to one of the band member's Judah Sandhy to find out a little more about the band.

How did Slain happen?
We started hunting for names just like any other band. One day our vocalist stumbled upon the name "SLAIN". We narrowed down on it because we believe on the lamb that was slain for all the sinners. Besides that, Slain is a group of young musicians who got together to start making good music as well as bunk college at the same time!

Is it tough competing with so many new bands?
We did find it tough initially, but we've overcome our fears, which has helped us to come so far.

Who is the joker of the band...?
The fact is tha the whole band is funny, but to be specific it has to be Jerod, our keyboard player, because he starts clapping when he forgets his notes.

Is it different playing at the inter - collegiate fest and a concert?
Very much. Because we get to see chicks during inter- collegiate fests and during concerts we get to see chicks and cheques!

If Slain was a color, it would be...?
RED

If Slain had a chance to play with one other band...
Truely, Iron Maiden! Because Slain loves hitting the same sound.

What's up next?
The 2nd coming.

You started of with one batch of musicians and now there are more additions... does it affect your band?
Very much because it makes a big difference to their sound. Each one of us influence and help to compose whatever the band is comfortable to showcase. But Bryden's image spice up our looks and gives us a the sexy appeal. Also, our new fourteen- year - old drummer visualises himself as the hottest dude in the band.

What is the wackiest thing you guys ever done?
We have never played our single hit More than Conquerors correctly; but even to this day, it is the most requested song by all.
