MR HOT Mr Cool marks the debut of music director Rishi Sundd. The movie has roped in singers like Kunal Gunjawala, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan and Swetha Pandit amongst others and has a very simple yet melodious finish. The title song Mr Hot Mr Cool sounds more like some words put together with beats taken from another movie.
The melody of the title track is nothing new as it seems like the beats were determined on a synthesizer, because they have absolutely no variation. Three songs and four remixes of these three songs sum up the album. One wonders why there are original songs at all; the remixes sound better. Ishq hua and Dekha tumhe particularly stand out for the melody although they remind you of the songs from the 1990's. Whether the songs would have a lasting impression is hard to say, but they surely are not irritating to the ear. For a music director who has just started out, this seems to be a safe bet; he could have included more songs for the listener to choose from instead of filling the play list with remixes.
