1. Hips Don't Lie: Shakira
(Album:Oral Fixation)

The release of single Hips Don't Lie almost choked other artists, what with every second request on air being Hips Don't Lie. The Radio Jockey's in Bangalore were left with no other choice but to play it, while listeners were having a field day. The video was like eye candy and every kid in town sang the song; not to neglect the fact that every college festival had at least one dance to the tunes of Shakira by participants.

2. Far Away: Nickelback
(Album:All the Right Reasons)

Everyone likes Nickelback, there is no question about it. They like Nickelback as much as they like Def Leppard, Sting, Red Hot Chilli Peppers or Bryan Adams. Bangaloreans were asked if they would replace Bryan Adams with one artist who would it be... "NickelBack". Although the feel of all Nickelback songs are somewhat similar, no one is complaining, simply, "for all the right reasons."

3. Waiting on the World to Change: John Mayer
(Album: Continuum)

Room For Squares, Heavier things and now Continuum. While both his previous albums have won Grammies and accolades for their soul Continuum has followed with a hattrick! The song WaitingÖ has been on the mind of every listenerÖ its soft, yet strong; smart yet lightÖ a sure winner!

4. Bad Day: Daniel Powter
(Album: Daniel Powter)

Bad Day, has become Bangalore's official anthem, for everyone who has had a bad day, bad break-up, bad exam results, fight with parentsÖ etc. It is one of the most over played songs next to Hips don't lie.

5. You're Beautiful: James Blunt
(Album:Back to Bedlam)

Although the album debuted in 2005, it is still getting maximum air coverage. While it is difficult to find one song out of the many in the album, Bangalore's pick is "You're Beautiful". The video is poetic and the song is most wanted on the 'love list'... or 'love found and lost list'.

6. Sexyback: Justin Timberlake
(Album: Sexyback)

Who ever thought Justin Timberlake would come and sweep ColdPlay off its feet. ColdPlay's "X&Y fell in the eleventh position soon after the release of Justin's new Album. Racy, sexy, funky and all Justin. The album is offbeat in parts but on the whole Justin's best. Justin has now officially knocked out ColdPlay of the list thanks to the teen girls in Bangalore.
